Help choosing a laptop

Hey guys, i would love your help choosing between two lenovo laptops for recording.

first one is a thinkpad with intel core i7 2,2 ghz with 8gb ram and 1000gb /16gb ssd hybrid drive.

second one is also a thinkpad with intel core i5 2,5 ghz 4gb ram ( i will add +4) and a 128 gb ssd drive.

both will cost the same.

now from what i hear ssd is really good for recording music. But the laptop with ssd has a slower cpu.
what is the best choice here?? I mean i've never really challenged my cpu when im recording before, i have however had audio dropouts and clicks and stuff which might have to do with a slow disk?

If you're not in the uk, find a supplier that sells Clevo laptops (the same ones that pcspecialist supplies).
