Help..."cannot find hdd"

Last night I powered off my DP-01 while I was in Master mode (kinda forgot where I was, and the unit gave me to "OK" to power off)...now when I turn the unit on, after a long "please wait..." I get the message that it "cannot find hdd" and to power off.

I'm wondering if there's some simple solution to this such as "hold down this key while you power on to reset the unit to factory specs" or some such thing.

Don't ya know Tascam's support works only M-F 8-5...yea, cause that's when most of us are using the equipment.

Any help would be most appreciated.

You've probably corrupted the song file you were working in. Since the unit is trying to boot up and load this song, it's basically stuck. There is no 'reset' command I'm aware of, so you may have to yank the drive out and stick it in a computer, where you can reformat it. This will erase anything on the drive. When you put it back into the DP-01, it will format the drive again with its own o/s.
