Help! Cakewalk doesn't see cool edit pro anymore

I had to reload cool edit pro and now Cakewalk PA 9 doesn't see cool edit pro in the Tools menu. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to fix this?

I use Cakewalk and cool edit together all the time. I've uninstalled CEP completely and reinstalled several times to no avail.

HELP!
 
Dunno bout Cakewalk, but in Cool you have to update the DirectX folder all the time if you want Cool to register what's available to it. Maybe it's the same in Cakewalk?
 
I have a registry key on my site that will help you.

Check out DS Sultan @ Collaboration Central and look in my File Chamber. There is a file there that will help you put CEP back on the Tools menu. If you need help let me know.
 
Why am I not able to download this file?
"The requestet files is either unavailable or cannot be found"
 
What browser are you running? With IE you need to simply click the link. With Netscape right click and choose Save-As. I just re-tested the link and it works fine for me.

If you continue to have trouble let me know and I will email the reg key to you.

Thanks for the tip.

I loaded the reg file and it did put CEP in the tool menu but when I am in cakewalk and try to send an audio clip to CEP, cakewalk says "cannot create process and after rebooting norton antivirus was shutdown. and doesn't want to start up again.

Any ideas?

Hmmm... OK. The issue with the 'can't create process' has to do with the path in the registry to the CEP executable or help files. How comfortable are you with editing the registry? You will need to do this to resolve the issue, it also means that CEP may not have been installed into the default path which the reg key takes into account. So you will need to know the exact install path as well before editing the registry.

As for NAV, no clue why it would get affected by this addition. Are you getting an error message from NAV? What windows version are you on?
