I'm just recently abandoning my Tascam for Hard-disk recording, and I need some advice on an A/D interface.
Two Cards that have stood out in my search are the Delta 44 by Midiman and the Ensoniq Audio Production Studio. There seem to be trade-offs on either one, does anyone have any feedback?
One will give me Midi, a pre-amp (just in case I want to run my guitar in direct) and two synths. The other gives me four outs, 96KHz (instead of 48) and slightly better s/n
I already have a good mixer and fast computer.
Also, is 96KHz sampling even necessary? Cd's are only 44.1KHz.
