Hello All,

I have emailed M-Audio support but you know that's going to take 24-36 hours.

But anyway!
Has anyone had the same trouble I am having installing the drivers? This is whats up.

I followed the manual for the card installation and where I am having trouble is where it searches for the applicable drivers for the installation.

It can not find the exact path that is mentioned in the manual on page 9. The driver CD that came with it does not contain the path as the manual says?

The Delta Series file lists many OS’s

Who has done this or knows what to do?

Am I just missing some thing here or am I making this harder than it should be?

download the drivers from the midiman website, that's what i did.

Just to add to shiatzu's post - Download the drivers from the website, unzip the files to a temporary location (such as c:\temp) and when you do the "Add Hardware Wizard" don't have it search for the files automatically, but pick the "I'll point to where the drivers are" (or something like that), then browse to c:\temp, and select the *.inf file. You should be good to go now!

Thanks all,

So the latest driver that is on M-audio's site for the 1010LT is all I need to get this installed?

Does this driver include the control panel too?

Pier

On the CD the driver you want is for Delta series WinXP (assuming you have WinXP), same driver for Win2000.

Recent M-audio drivers do not provide files that you unpack to a folder or floppy and then navigate the windows hardware wizard to the .inf file.
There is now an "intelligent" installer .exe. The current driver is version .48a.

If you run it with the driver already installed, it uninstalls the files - nothing more.

Running it from a clean installation, it puts the files where Windows hardware Wizard will automatically look when it comes up on "New hardware found".
You can run the installer before fitting the card.

The control panel is included, but it won't get loaded in the Windows taskbar until the first re-boot after driver install.

Thinks Jim,

My OS is Win2000 so would I install the 2000 or XP from the CD?

I think it's the same WDM type driver for 2000 or XP (the WDM driver includes ASIO etc). Then again, the installer could be different for 2000 even if the files are the same - haven't used 2000 for a while myself.

Better yet, go to www.midiman.net and use the driver search to download the latest one (CD's are often out of date by the time you get the product).
The one you want should be .48a - though there could be another new one since I last looked!

M-Audio has updated the drivers. New version available is .5051, not so sure about the code number but is a new one.
