Strips from the scrapbook of unused "compositions"..

Did this today, this is the first mix.

I've been once unfortunate enough to drive some 100-150miles home at night in a blizzard. This sort of reminds me of that.

NO DRUMS yet..
Wanted some advice on that too, besides the mix. Should I put ANY drums on the beginning?,, plain hi-hat.. simple beat, or a fullblown Blast?.. clicktracked at 150bpm. I'm aware that my programming sucks and so does sounds on Beatcraft.
Sort of like that tidious, lingering feeling as if driving at night.

Throw something at me.

i'd bring the lead guitar up. and i would bring drums in just after the lead first comes in then goes out at about 28 seconds into the tune.

sounds good. good rhythm good flow. kind of a traveling rhythm--i can see how it reminds you of that drive. nice one.

Yeah this song definately has a traveling vibe. The solos are cool. I like the clean guitar tones. The bass is a fit flubby at times. Are you going to add vocals to this song? I can picture a lot happening with vocals. I have beatcraft myself. The samples the come with the software arn't the greatest although with a bit of eqing you can get decent drum sounds out of them. I would download samples from other sites though. There are a lot of good free samples that are posted on ultimatemetal.com including Andy Sneap's own drum samples. Once you really know how to use the program, you can get pretty decent drum tracks with it. Takes a lot of time though.
