Guitarist wrote it and I tweeked the lyrics a hair. He writes pretty abstract lyrics;)

Ok dude, the song rocks.

BUT! You got to turn those guitars up just a little bit. :) I like the up front drums. The vox the bass and the drums are all right there in your face. The guitarist is missing slight presence. Just an opinion.

The vox is very powerful. I fits the style of the singing very well. The drums complement the vox really nicely.

Thanks for the prospective bigbubba:) I will give that some thought. I'll have to take a listen later and maybe mess with a slight bump up on the rythem guit' or a possible eq adjustment.

I have now replaced the original mix with the remix. So if you play Fairweather Friend you are hearing the remix version. I am looking at big's suggestion and at trying to make it a little louder with out killing the mix.

Hi True:

I am in the middle of a mix/master pull your hair out tweek session as we speak. I have done a couple versions that I am questioning. I applied a eq to the master that brings out the guitar quite a bit and also applied some eq to the rythem guit. Question is if I have made it to harsh. I like loud but I hate harsh. It's a tough order. I plan to thow up 3 or 4 mixes in a couple days and let people pick their favorite. I will leave the version that is up now in but I do think it's a bit to dark. I am at the fine line point now :eek: :o :( :D

as far as the rim clicks go. you are more than likely hearing hi hat. Our drummer does some funky hi hat stuff in this song with the hats closed. It may be a combo of HH and snare. He is a very good drummer and can pull off some cool stuff;) Sometimes I forget untill I listen to stuff and think wow.

Anyway, I will have a new thread up in a couple days or so titled something like pick the mix. I will load a few mixes on soundclick or my server and let you cast your vote;)
