anyone heard of jimmy cliff???? Well, either did I until I recently was handed his new album, "The harder they come" from my boss (I work at universal). It's a really good album, I fav. song so far is "You can get it if you really want." All I know about him though is that he is the godfather of reaggae. I you have more info let me know, but def. check out his cd.
 
it's funny he was the starr of the movie "the Harder they come" in the 70's
 
If it's the same one i'm thinking of

then jimmy cliff is the guy who has that famous song..."I can see cleary now" I know that eventhough you may not no the name i know you have heard that song atleast once or twice..just my lil rant ..peace

jimmy cliff is probably the second most famous reggae musician after bob marley......the harder they come is a great album!

do you know peter tosh's music....he is another legend you should check out if you dont know his stuff....

yeah. you should also check out toots and the maytals, junior murvin, and the clash.

the clash have some of the best reggae songs i've ever heard.
