I haven't posted anything up here in ages so here's something I'm almost done with

Pretty basic love song that I've had on paper for ages but could never get it right, but now I think I'm close to what I want

Pretty interesting little tune. Wouldn't know where to classify this genre, but that's not important....
Not bad mix-wise, though the voice sounds a bit too detached from the rest, giving it kind of a karaoke feel. I would sink it more in the mix to have it blend.

this song has so much potential it's scary. with the vocals properly blended with the instrumental this would be a song i'd buy in a heart beat. maybe some more reverb to the vocals so they accompany the instrumental in that spacey journey-ish kind of mood/atmosphere.

but still the track is enjoyable, the only thing i'd point out is the vocals. like them but think they'd sound way better if properly blended in with the instrumental and added some sort of reverb. good job nonetheless, great, great song.

I just got a new compressor and was eager to do some parallel compression on the vox and I think I over did it pushing the vox too far forward. Also the reverb was kinda non existent too

I pulled back on the parallel compression and am trying a different verb for a more spacious feel

yup definitely got something here...the vocals sound a little muffled to me...maybe a little boost around 5-6kHz..Im no expert...if they were mine they'd have some delay on them for sure (or more if you are using it)

Very interesting tune! The only recommendation I'd have (because I'm a drummer), is get some cymbal action in there... You've got these great intro-rolls going on with the snare, and then upon entrance, it all goes back to the same stuff. A good kick/cymbal crash would take care of that in spots.

I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Thanks for the drummers perspective. I'll give that a try and see how it sounds. I'm not one of nature drummers so didn't reallt think of that as a means of adding some movement and dynamism to the piece
