MultitrackStudio 3.0 has been released today. The 3.0 version offers advanced mixing and mastering features.

Among the new features are:

- The Pianoroll and Drum editors have been enhanced, and a Notation editor has been added.
- These editors now appear in the track itself (rather than in a separate window).
- Multiple MIDI Out devices are supported.
- Tape Type Monitoring ('live effects') is supported (requires ASIO driver).
- Group and Effect Return sections can be routed to additional soundcard outputs.
- Effect Send busses can be routed to sidechain inputs of dynamic effects.
- The EQ effect features a spectrum display to detect any problems while mastering.
- The Master Limiter features a Level History display that makes gain setup a no-brainer.
- A MIDI merger is built-in.
