Hey, i'm sorry this is kind of a noobish question and i'm sure a quick search could give me an answer but i'm not really sure what i'm looking for here.

i've been recording with my firepod on my laptop and i wanted to do some live recordings with one of my friend. i'm not sure what i need to get to have multiple headphones running into my firepod. i looked up some headphone amps but those looked expensive and i didn't know if one is necessary just yet. maybe in the future i'll save up for one, but for a temporary fix would a headphone splitter from radioshack work? i want to have decent sound...

thanks for the help

It's almost a guarantee you won't get sufficient levels driving several headphones by using a splitter. I would look at a (shudder) Behringer headphone amp. You can drive up to 12 headphones with it although I've never had to drive more than 6. It's worked great for me. They're on eBay all the time.
