Headphone/Speaker Amp

Wasn't sure where to put this, so I'm gonna post it here...

What's a good, cheap, headphone/speaker amp that I can use for the M-Audio 24/96?

I'd like to be able to run 2 pairs of headphones plus my computer speakers from it at the same time. If I can only run 1 pair of headphones and the speakers, that's fine I guess.

The speakers have one 1/8" stereo jack, and the headphones do too.

And I think the outputs on the 24/96 are mono? So how would I hook them both into the single stereo input on the amp? I'm guessing there is a cable for this?

What speakers? The presonus is a headphone amp and will not drive unpowered speakers. If you have powered computer speakers, you can hook them to it and it will work fine.

They're regular computer speakers. Well, they're actually better than standard computer speakers, but that's all they are.

The ones that plug into the 1/8" jack on the soundcard.

I haven't saved up enough for decent monitors yet and I've done mixes on these just fine because I've been using them for so long.

They're Creative 5.1 speakers with a sub, but I disconnected the 2 rear speakers and I'm just using the 2 front ones in a stereo setup (not surround).

Anyway, what do I need to have the speakers hooked up, as well as 1 or 2 pairs of headphones at the same time?

Do the speakers have a power supply that connects to the wall, an on/off switch, and volume control? If so, they're powered speakers (i.e., they have internal amplification). The presonus will work fine for that. All you'll need is an adapter to connect the 1/8" TRS cable to the 1/4" TRS headphone jack on the presonus. You'll also need adapters for your headphones if they have a 1/8" plug. I have two sets of computer speakers, as well as headphones, connected through my hp4.

The Rolls HA43 is a nice little headphone amp, goes for around $50 I think.

The speakers hook into the subwoofer, which hooks into the computer.

The subwoofer has a power adapter which plugs into the wall.

So I'm guessing it will work for that?
