I have a brand new VS2000cd and for the life of my cannot figure out why I cannot monitor my attached mics through the headphones. I can hear audio from the cd player but not the mics. I tried changing the output routing but to no avail.
I could be wrong but if you are using the vs2000 as a cd player all other functions will cease. You need to import the song from the cd into to vs then you should be able to use/hear your mics. I just used mine as a cd player for the first time the other night and tried to play some keyz with the song...it was a no go. But once I imported the song into the vs everything was ok. I don't know if this machine is anything like the BR1600, but on the 1600, there is an option in the 'system' settings that allows you to say whether you want output to the two headphone jacks or not. Just a thought.
