I am totally new to this computer based recording and need a lot of help. I am trying to make do with what I have already but have a little money to spend. I have a 333mhz computer and am using a Fostex FD-4 as a mixer. The hassle using the Fostex drove me to this. I have some mics I use in live shows and a Nanoverb unit. I am using Guitar Tracks for software.
I have a set of Altec computer speakers with a sub. The problem is there is no input for headphones. I have a set that came with the computer that don't sound near as good that has the phone input. Is there a way to hook up both sets so as to get the headphone input ? Any help appreciated.

Yeah you could get a simple little "y" splitter out of the computer and run a wire to both sets or you could try simply plugging the headphones strait into the comp. and see if that is acceptable, though it will likley be too quiet.

Computer OUT to Fostex.

Fostex OUT to Altec & Headphones.
