I'd like to find one of those headphone "head" stands for my studio -- ya know -- the clear plastic head that you can put your headphones on when not in use. I'd actually like to find one that lights-up, to complement the lava lamp I soon plan to buy. I haven't seen an actual one, but I believe I've seen one in a pic -- maybe even in one of the studio pics posted by members here. I can't remember if it lit-up though. Does anyone know where I can find one these? Thanks in advance.

I bought one from Pier 1 and stuck some christmas lights in them.

I called my local Pier 1 outlet and they have some of the "Glass Heads". I'm going to buy one and try and mount one of those "light disks" in the base -- you know, the light bases used to place crystal/glass pieces on to illuminate/display them. I actually have one with a rotating multi-color disk. I don't think the size of the one I have will work, but I'm sure I can find one that will. Should be cool!

Well, I bought a glass head today at Pier 1. Got the headphones on it and ended-up using the multi-color light base that I already have. Colors change between blue, green, red and yellow. For $20, I got a headphone stand and a waaay cool lamp out of it (in a lava lamp kind of way -- which I also plan to buy soon).

Thanks again for the tip on where to get one.

Isn't having a head hanging around kind of strange and freaky. no offense or anything but what's wrong with hooks or shelves or is that like too old school!

It's not strange or freaky to me. Nothing wrong with hooks or shelves, but the illuminated glass head wearing headphones looks pretty cool.

I've often thought it would be fun to have a big bust of Beethoven glowering down at me and keeping my headphones warm when I'm not using them, but with all that wild hair of his, headphones just won't fit.

I've seen those maniquin heads at GoodWill before, I think they use them for wig and hat displays. I never thought to use them as headphond "stands." You guys alway make me laugh!
