Recommend a GOOD headphone dist. Amp. for me please.

Budget?
Well, I don't want to spend $2000, but then again I don't want to throw away $200 on a piece of crap.
So, basically, its wide open.

I think the Behringers are plenty good enough, but everybodys idea of "crap" may be different....how many channels do you need?

Look at the stuff by OZ Audio -- they have a 4 and 6ch. version.... excellent gear....

I use the 4 ch.....!

Harvey said the Rane amp isn't too bad. It seems like the only choices are the cheapo crappy ones or the really nice modular systems.

I have a RANE HC-6..works pretty good, lot of hour on it and no problems. Get a used one for cheap and check it out...move to something better after that then move the HC-6 to your B room.

SoMm

So, the OZ is solid? I'm looking at the 6-channel Q-Mix. Has anybody here used that? It's a fairly different beast than the 4-channel. It allows the musicians to do their own mixes from, I think, 4 stereo or mono sources. It also has an effects loop for the musicians to control how wet their mixes are. If it does what it says it does, sounds decent and is well built, it should be a steal of a deal.

I'll second the HC-6. It has plenty of gain and a total of 18 outputs I believe - 6 separate volume controls and a master volume. The power cord is this funky telephone jack thing which I'm always afraid is going to break, but it hasn't so far. I picked up mine for a little over $200 used.
