headphone DB isolation or noise cancellation?

Tried those metrophones, isolated well but the mix sounded thin and non bassy.

Has anyone tried those noise cancellation phones that bose makes? would they work just as well or even better?

I've used the bose aircraft ones before. They really cut the lows complety out. It's pretty interesting hitting the bass drum and just hearing click!

I have the Audio Technica and if they get too much bass then it vibrates really bad

Yea, it'd be cool if I tried to take the isolation (water filled) pads out of the metrophones and jimmy riggem onto the Bose. Best of bofe worlds then.
