I just got a Yamaha AW4416 and I'm having trouble with playback of tracks when I am trying to record overdubs. I'm getting no sound whatsoever and I have no clue what I could be missing. I'm pretty new to all of this and I'm sure it's a simple mistake I am making. Thank you in advance!!

There is help for recording on the AW4416

Greetings,
I have recorded on the AW4416 for a few years. I am now in the process of going strictly to computer DAW recording. The 4416 is a very intense system to learn. It is also a very capable system and you can get very professional results with it. The problem you are having is caused by a limitation in the CPU of the system. I will get in front of my recorder this evening so I can better explain how to overcome this. I would also recommend joining a help group on yahoo.com. It is an email group dedicated to the AW4416. There are a lot of contributors that still record (at least track) on the AW and it was a tremendous resource when I got my AW about 8 years ago. I will continue this later. Just wanted you to know there is help.

Adam... I was chatting to this guy about this problem in another thread he resurrected elsewhere on the board... hence no comments in this one. He may not see your suggestion... Perhaps send him a message on the board (Notifications) to let him know. He seemed like he might need some help in the future and I no longer have the machine, and my memory is fading.
:D
