I recently bought a 688 and am wondering if someone could answer a few simple questions for me, just so I can get started with it. )It didn't come with the user manual.) If there is already a get started with the 688 sort of threat I apologize and you can point me to it, otherwise I think it might help some users to just get the basics down. It is a complicated machine. With that said.
This is all using Mics:
1. I get levels on track one but only in the left side on the monitor can track one be made stereo, and how? (Same goes for track 2, obviously, but right channel)
2. I often go straight to preset scene 11 to get the basic settings I want quickly. The problem is, of course, 11 starts out, I believe, recording each of the 8 inputs to all of the tracks. I'm just making a guess here, but is each 'group' under the the main section a different track? If that is true. When I give each track it's respective group I lose them in the monitors, but still get the bars on the track monitor. All I want is to have each of the eight inputs record to their respective tracks, and I think if I am told how to do this I can figure out a lot more from there.
I think those are all of my questions. If I come up with more I'll post them. If this is for some reason isn't appropriate for the forum just let me know. I'm ordering a manual soon.
