Hi

I have a WAV file that I would like to save on CD so that it will play on any CD player as an audio not a data file.
What is the proceedure? Do I need to convert the WAV file to CDA format, if so then how? What is the best freeware software to achieve this and where can I get it?

Looking forward to any replies.

Thanks

Easy...

Don't worry about trying to convert it to a .cda, that won't accomplish a thing. .cda is just a file lable for the data on the disk, and has nothing to do with anything.

Just use the CD authoring software that came with your CD burner. Select the .wav file you want to burn to the CD, and presto, it will do so.

Of course you have to make a Music CD and not a Data CD, which is an option in your burners software.

Also, make sure that the .wav file is 16 bit 44.1KHz sampling rate, as that is the only type of .wav file that can be burned on a Music CD.

Good luck.
