I have Mixtreme and Cakewalk and more in a system I use just for digital audio. I still need a system card to do other important functions. Had to take the SBLive card out due to many conflicts. I need 24bit support so S/Pdif I/O and some good wavetable or other synth sounds onboard. I've searched heavily and have brain drain. Looked at Aopen (AW744) Hoontech YM744 (same?), Diamond Multimedia MX400, Aureal SQ2500 (out of business??), Turtle Beach, Xitel, Shark Multimedia, Yamaha, and MORE! I WONT buy another Creative soundcard. This card will perform no gaming duty but serve as more help in my studio with sounds (an alternate module) and digital I/O. I need to record and convert wav's to MP3's too (for pro use not recreational). My current MP3 prog (MusicMatch - registered) will not even open 'cause I have no soundcard (or so it claims).
Can you recommend a good card anyone? I can't afford the SW1000 right now. Help!
