i mean, jesus f. christ, it's a 9 year old thread!!!
and only robert wall and ekarges3 seems to have had any experience with it.

Damn...so for 9 years you were too chicken to pony up the $35 for one nut and give it a try for yourself?

Like I said...I was originally interested in it and did some research, and even spoke to the inventor on the phone about it as I said.
When I asked him specifically if it would give me perfect tuning up/down the whole neck...he said NOT REALLY, but that it was primarily going to fix the issues in the first few frets for when you mix open and fretted notes.
He basically said the same thing...why not try one and see if it works for you.

They have the retro fit model that doesn't require any cutting of the fretboard...but IMO it looks like shit with the screws and all...so I didn't want to bother with it, and I wasn't looking to fix tuning issues in the first few frets for open/fretted playing.
The Buzz Feiten nut is a similar approach as the Earvana...thoguh I think the Earvana does it better since it not only moves the nut closer to the first fret, it also individually offsets the B, G strings (if I recall).
But the Buzz bridge intonation "formula" add some more refinement...and they also use a bone nut, where the Earvana is some synthetic/plastic type of material.
