Haunted Instruments?

I was reading Mickey Hart's book, and was wondering if anyone here has ever had a haunted drum fashioned from a human skull?

...or any other haunted instrument?
 
I once had a rotory fader BOSS mixer. The thing always worked fine until I went to record from it, then the 3rd channel pan knob would cut in and out creating horrible scratchy sounds.
 
hahaha, I had this Peavy milestone II bass that I swear was haunted. Any time I would get on stage to play a gig, the thing would scratch and creak and wobble in and out. It seriously would work fine until the band got on stage, and you'd hear this BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I had a backup, and used it everytime. Never did get through one show with the peavy. Worked great at band practice though.

All my instruments have spirits that live inside them. Didn't you know that? That's why music has the ability to put you in a trance.

I don't have anything fashioned from a human skull, but almost all of my gear is fashioned from something that was once living - like a tree trunks and dearskin, etc. Their spirits live on and sing out everytime we play.

I'll tell you what's really haunted is our studio! I catch glimpses of something moving all the time. Maybe it's a spirit or maybe it's just light reflecting off the cymbals or the chrome of a guitar. Who Knows?

in florida a man droped a porclin head and when it broke he dicoverd that it had a human skull in it. They investigated it and found that it was a real skull and found more of them. These were imported.
 
My first Portastudio was haunted!!!

After a while recording, it suddenly went spinning forward and backward extremely fast, all meters going left and right and the lights on and of, and all not in a predictable order, almost controlled by ´human´. And the noise it produced!!!!!
 
My "cellar" is haunted by the ghost of some guy who walks in, plays guitar, and then walks out in disgust... every day... very predcitable...
Sometimes he'll twiddle with phantom knobs for hours, and even appears to be playing the drums at times...

Spooky that phucker is...

my printer is the ghost in my room !!

whenever i got my usb cable connected to the printer
(and power of printer is off, but its connected to power supply)

then i got an insane annoying 1khz tone in EVERY SINGLE OUTPUT
IN ALL MY GEAR !!! (yes , i'm screaming this out loud :o )

every direct output, aux send of my mixer,
every slot in my patchbay, my headphone amp,
just everything

funny thing is that not all equipment use the same power supply,
i'm using 80% of US equipment that is connected to a rackrider
(220 to 110 volt)

the WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-sound goes trough
all my electric devices,

untill i plug that usb cable

..haunted? yeah.. you should have seen me track the Evil Device !
headphones on superloud volume, and with a mic in my hands i walked around in my room, pointing at all electric devices,
it finally totally FREAKED out when i pointed close to the printer,
had insane sounds when the mic came close to that usb cable

now i know WHERE it comes from and how to stop it,
but don't really know Why, How, and why?
 
my computer mic picks up voices here in my basement...kinda creepy so i keep it muted

question, do wall really keep noises and reflects them later?
 
The pub my parents used to own is haunted.... My guitar is crap, nothing would want to haunt that, and my drums.... Well... Would you like getting pounded in the head every day?
 
We've had spirits in the house, but it was just my mom and Riley's mom shortly after they passed. My mom was here a couple times. We heard her on her porch in Salem too, trying to open the door one morning while we were sleeping. Woke us both up. I bolted up but there wasn't anybody/thing there on the porch. Another time at my house she was following me as I crossed my bedroom. I just caught a glimpse of her nightgown when I turned..... also, I have felt her sit on the edge of the bed too.

I never had any encounters with Riley's moms' spirit.
 
i talk to my durm set... either it has a spirit, or im crazy...

I've had gear do some odd stuff, like getting the shit shocked out of me one time when I was singing.
I touched a bass amp that had the ground cut off the plug! :eek:
I've had a four track recording play backwards, but that was due to a
P.O.S. tascam 4 track recorder. :p
 
I see spirits quite often!! My old friend Jack comes around occasionally, the ghost of Cpt. Morgan, ...Jose. Adolph Coors visits, but he's not really a spirit. More of a lightweight.

Sounds like a ground problem that only became obvious once the light controller came up....

I found that to be "very funny," but not like tbs' "very funny," but actually funny, funny.
 
I had a cheapy behringer tube pre that used to speak to me in spanish. Sometimes it would even sing tejano!
