has anyone used yamahas kick mic speaker?

how does this thing sound? it looks wild. a speaker mounted inside of a snare drum shell. i heard one guy i know say that by using a d112 close to the beater and the speaker mic just outside,he got the best kick sound.

I believe it was going for around $450.00 or so...but there are plenty of links on the net by folks who have made there own very easily by using 8" speakers for under a $100.00 just as effective.
