Isn't it wonderful how we all speak different languages, and several of them are called English? I had a friend, Maggie Matters, from Adelaide, who was a foreign exchange student. She went to the five and dime store to buy what we would call erasers and asked for a box of rubbers, which in USA speak are condoms. She was told politely that she'd have to go to a drug store. The clerk didn't lose it until she replied, "could you come again please?". We couldn't help her. We were too busy rolling on the floor.
Well if anybody down under ever figures out what ever happened to Margaret Matters from Adelaide, who probably graduated from high school in 1972 or 1973, I'll send you a free copy of "Reunion" anywhere in the known world.-Richie
