I’m just curious whether anyone on this forum has gone down the DIY microphone kits currently available? If so, how did it go and how were your results. I’m thinking about building a set of ribbon mics for drum overheads, then building a ELAM251 clone, but that kit is nearly a grand, so I want to start with the simple ribbon mics.
