Looks like a "knock-off" of an RCA 44*.
My guess is that it's a ribbon.

Thanks Michael..............it is currently on Ebay (Australia), but I don't know that it is worth considering for our studio.

Depends on what they're asking, I suppose. It doesn't look in too bad of shape, but looks can be deceiving.ausrock said:
The thing with vintage ribbon mics is they take a LOT of clean gain to drive them, so unless you have a top notch mic pre, you're probably better off shopping around.
