I wonder if there's such thing as a harmonic exciter stompbox, to add sparkle to my guitar's dark sound. Or is there any other type of effect that does the same? I'm trying to keep the basic dark sound of the guitar but add some occassional high harmonics only when needed, so EQing won't really do the job.

And does anyone know what the Boss Enhancer does? It's an old model so there's no info on the web.

Hmmmmmmmmm......I wonder what your guitar noramlly sounds like. The reason is that many times the mix of the band will hide many of the higher harmonic contents of a guitar. The ssssssssss on a vocal, and the hi hats and crash cybals are usually up in that area.

Anyway, most guitar players are after those higher harmonics all the time because they definately add the real character to a good guitar sound. Without them, you basically have mud, which is what most guitar players I here live at clubs have.

I would suggest a Moster Studio Pro 1000 instrument cable to get more harmonic content. This is probably the finest cable made that cost less than over $50 a foot (pure silver wire!!!)A 20 ft. cable will probably run you about $100. Worth every penny.

Good luck.
