Hi ,
Im trying to set up a home recording stuidio but am not sure about the kind of hardware i require .... I currently have
1)digidesign digi 002 rack (computer interface)
2)mackie onyx -1620 mixer
3)alesis poweramp - Ra 300
4)alesis proactive 5.1 system
5)7 shure sm58 mics
6)beheringer finalizer

I would like to know the additional hardware (cheap but good )that i would be requiring to set up a home studio and what they do ....
also i would like to know monitors for 5.1 that are under 500 dollar mark (mildly short on cash)

just do a search under my name. ive made loads of good suggestions.
thousands in fact based on many experiences of myself and friends setting up studios.

That's much better than the studio I began with. I started with a 4-track.. acoustic.. and a radio shack microphone with cheapie headphones.

Make sure you have a computer that supports the workload...
