i need some hard for my work but i have a problem :

first i should say that i work with laptop,Sonar,and M-audio profire610 interface.

then:
1.what kind of hard i should buy ?internal or external ?
2.if internal then 7500rpm or 5400?and which brand?
3.if external then USB or FIREWIRE ?andfirewire 400 or 800 ?


help in this Decision.Thanks alot.

Always 7500rpm. Internal best when working on projects. External best for backup (and use it regularly). Nothing worse than loosing projects because of eminent drive failure. It will happen sooner or later. Firewire better than usb. 800 best of those. Kinda depends on what options your laptop gives you. You can always add a card.

Edit: Usb 2.0 is good if used solely for one drive.
