Hammond M-3 ----FREE

I have a chance to get a Hammond M-3 for free, no Leslie. It is sitting on in the parking lot by my office with a sign on it "FREE"

They dont know if it works. Looks like it is in great shape.

Anyone think I should grab it?

I got a M-111 off a neighbor for $20 that "didn't work"

Only needed some oil, and it's in MINT condition, with the original bench

When is taking free stuff ever a question, ESPECIALLY free music gear?
 
I have it in the garage. It looks sweet. But it needs some work. It makes a crackling sound when played. I have to learn how to use the drawbars, and how to use the thing. I might try to find a service manual and user manual.
 
The hammond gods blessed me again.
I just picked us a M2 for free. Its not in the greatest looking shape but it sounds great.

Now I have a M2 and M3 in my garage. My wife thinks I am nuts having all this gear and not making any money with it.
 
I picked up a c-3 from a thrift store for 270, with the leslie, and resold it for almos 2500.
