Does anyone know if this had a headphone out , and if it is
good enough quality to use as a control room monitor

thanks

the HDSP and I did look at the site but it dosn't mention an analogue stereo out, although it does say

"and numerous other features found already in the Hammerfall series."

Just wondering if the stereo headphone out is one of this features

Looking at the pictures on the site I would say no.

This is a digital audio interface with digital inputs and outputs, I see no reason for a headphone jack.

I am using a Mackie 8-bus into 2 ADAT's ( A/D converters) and then want to send lightpipe to my PC, which this card will do no problem. I would then like to monitor what I am recording. If the card had an analogue out, I could just run that back to my mixer? If not, my thinking is that I could record and monitor up to 8 tracks at a time, using one ADAT to get the signal into my PC and the other to get the signal out of the PC and back to the mixer. I see that expansion boards such as RME AO4S-192 are also available to provide analogue outs. This is probably the only way for me to be able to record and monitor 16 tracks
I have never recorded this way and am just looking for any advice that may put me on the right path

thanks

the card that you're looking at does have stereo analogue out, AND headphone jack AND s/pdif out AND has an internal software routing system that is FAR superior to anything that i have seen before... so you're golden, using the ADAT's for a/d converters works out really well, they sound great with the RME... for monitoring, just take the stereo out to your amp and volia... you can hear what your doing...OR as you said you can rout it back into your board so you can finish the mix there, it's up to you...

cheers
