Hi i wanted to work out how to use Halion 3 with a sample of my own. I can open it and assign it to a key zone but i don't want it to get shorter or pulse faster when it goes to higher keys. Is there a way of time shifting it relatively so the pitch changes but the length of it doesn't?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Its just that when you use a preset programme of sounds you don't get this issue, it doesn't go all 'pinky and perky' sounding when you move up an octave or all slo-mo if you go down a couple but it does if you use your own sample?
Cheers for any help.

I totally understand what you are asking, but I honestly don't know if it's possible unless halion has that feature (and I don't know if it does).

If it doesn't you could time stretch it yourself a few times right in cubase... but it will still start to sound weird if you do it to much.

Yeah - thats what i thought but then kind of defeats the point of using Halion in the first place. Could just drop my samples straight into Cubase itself. Hmmm. Perhaps I'm just not using it for what its good at. I think maybe i don't really get what people are using it for.

See I know 100% that Sampletank 2 will do exactly what your after so I'm a little surprised that Halion wouldn't. But like I said, Stienberg instruments (except the included ones) are VSTis I have the least amount of knowledge with.
