Got a question based on experience with 2 different guitars, through a bass amp. More specifically, my Squier Fat Telecaster through the Squier BP-15 bass combo (that came with my Squier P-bass Pack), versus my new Ibanez AG75TBS through the same amp. I've played the Fat Tele through my Vox T25 bass combo (currently in storage), so what I know about that should apply to the Ibanez, as well.
The Squier Fat Tele gets too muddy, when playing on just the humbucker through a bass amp, while the Ibanez AG75 sounds just fine, and it's got 2 humbuckers. Does this have anything to do with the Tele being solid bodied, while the AG75 is hollow bodied? Maybe it's the difference in pickups, or maybe even strings? My Guitar POD 2.0 has a '59 Fender Bassman modeled, and both guitars sound just fine, with that.
Is there something I'm missing, or just simply not thinking about, in terms of the differences between these two ax's through a bass amp?
