I recently bought a Line6 GuitarPort and plugged it in to my computer. The problem is that it doesn't sound at all like the demo tracks from Line6. Their tone sounds brighter and more alive than mine. Hitting the low E and A produces a lot of very low frequencies.
Maybe the solution is new cables cause I've tried to use headphones directly from the GuitarPort and it's still that dead, boring sound.

it could be your guitar...what kind of do you have? a cheap one?...or maybe line6 just flat out sucks...oops, did I say that out loud?

It's a Gibson replica.. I gave $500 for it. Maybe it's not the best guitar but several magazines thought that it was almost as good as the real thing.. But I dunno... I've tried recording with my old guitar too.. It could be my sucky SBLive.. you think kX drivers will help?

Are you hearing both the demo and the guitar through the same playback setup, and are they both using the same effects patch, settings, and wet/dry mix? Another varible could be something like a Fender on the demo vs your Gibson double coil pickups?

Yeah it could be my humbuckers... but humbuckers can't be that bad... at least I don't think so.. I'll go for new strings and see what happens
