Here is my situation:
I am running an AMD Muron 800 mhz processor w/ 512 meg RAM and an M-Audio 1010 LT card. I am using a Behringer 10 channel mixer w/ an 8 out bus. I am using (6) of the (8) outs for drums and the other (2) outs for scratch guitar tracks.
Everytime we go to record a full 4:00 min song with all (8) tracks we get little spots of digital noise. It only effects certain tracks. Usually the Kick Drum or Guitar Track. It even speeds up the song in some areas. The levels are not even close to clipping. I've tried changing the buffer and cache settings as well.
Has this ever happened to anyone on here? Could I be pushing the processor to hard? Should I upgrade to 1 gig RAM ?
When we record (4) or less tracks there is no noise or speeding up in areas.
Any suggestions?
