I just bought a Behringer GI-100 active direct inject box. Was very cheap ($59 Canadian). It allows you to split your signal (and also has a cab similator, can be phantom powered, has two input pad switches). Its ideal if you want to split your signal to a board or balanced input of somekind.
So far I don't have anything bad to say about it.
You can probably get it easy in Brazil as well, given its Behringer.
