Hey,
I can't get guitar rig 2 to recognize my firepod for routing. When I go to preferences, the only option for interface is CoreAudio, the output options doesn't include the presonus firepod, and when I go to routing, inputs just say not connected. Any ideas?
Thanks,
j.

my goodness, when i hear computer terms, like "recognize", "boot" and "preferences" in connection with guitars, makes my skin crawl :D

wish I could help you, but i'm a programmer, so I hate computers

A Mac running OS X should see the Firepod when it's plugged in via firewire and turned on. Is the light on the Firepod blue or red?

i know that many people use digital stuff successfully, but it just gives me the heebie-jeebies! it's not necessarily quality - i truly hate soft menus and prefer to see analog controls, even on digital stuff (i mean for music).

the old saying goes "if it needs time to boot, then it can also crash" (don't remember who said it).

but ok, i don't want to hijack the thread. back to firepod.

So what you're saying is, "It can't be fixed - it's a hardware problem" ? :D

the light is blue, i know the computer recognizes the firepod, because I can use it in logic, and as a matter of fact, i can open my guitar rig 2 through logic as a plug in, and it works....opening it by itself as an application will not however.
