Guitar hooks at K-Mart

I went to K-Mart last night and picked up a few of these for $3.75 each.
I plane to mount then to a 1x4 oak board and mount it on my wall.

Looks to me like you have to have some specially routed out mounting board. If it were a simple deal to use I'd say it's a winner.
