guitar head + bass speakers

Got a smokin deal on a set of GK 410's, just wondering about running my guitar amp through them. It is a Sovtek Mig 50 (50 watt with 4,8&16 ohm outputs - I also have a weber mass 150 I typically use so I can work with less than full volume), and the Gallien Krueger is rated at 8 ohms and 800 watts.

Will these speakers be underpowered? Is this a really bad idea?

just try it and see.
Pretty hard for anyone to have much of an idea what that'll sound like since it's unlikely anyone has tried that particular combination.

It won't harm anything if that's what you're asking.

800 watts is just the wattage at which the cabinet will most definitely be dead. 50 watts should still push it well, though bass speakers are designed for different frequency ranges than guitar speakers, so you may have to play around until you find a sound you like.

Lt is absolutely correct as ususal. Neither here nor there but I have an old Eminance 15" bass speaker in an old Ampeg Gemini VI and it's my favorite amp.
