I am in the process of mixing a demo CD for a chicago style blues band that has a great guitar sound. Unfortunately the guitarist had a rather large pedal board that caused a lot of hum in the recording. I've done my best in getting most of it out by cutting the sections were he wasn't playing as well as eq a good majority of the hum as much as I possibly could without hurting the guitar. I have heard that recording buzz on a separate track and then flipping the phase may work but I have yet to try it. I was wondering if anyone has run into this and was able to fix it without having to rerecord?
