Ok, before listening, bear in mind that this was recorded in a rehearsal room - no monitors, no effects - onto a tascam 4-track (onto two tracks on a tascam 4-track, in fact).
I ran all the mics through the PA mixer in the room. I hooked up the two tracks on the 4-track to the tape outs on the mixer.
Overheads - 2 Oktava 012's
Kick - AKG D112
Guitar + Bass amps - SM57's
Vocals - Sennheiser e845

Also, the equipment meant I had to improvise a little. The two stands for the amp mic's only had two legs, so had to be balanced on a chair and at a crazy angle to stay in place. I had no stand that would point the D112 into the kick drum, so I rested that on a foam square inside the kick drum, using a Big Muff pedal to hold it in place (!). The overhead mic stands wouldn't take the clips that came with the oktava's, so they had to be taped in place. Like I said, pretty rough stuff. Good fun though.

So, I have a fair idea what I think could be better on this (considering what I had to work with), but I'd like to hear what y'all have to say. Thanks for listening!

PS - that's not the band's website, it's just hosted there.
