Hi guys I'm using my gt-6 (Well, trying to) to record and am going straight into the soundcard. However, the sound that I'm getting out of my monitors is not the real sound that is supposed to come out of gt-6...when I'm playing just with the headphones on (h'phones straight out of gt-6) it sounds perfect but through my sound card and monitors the clean sounds are distorted a bit, and distorted sounds are not the same either...Has anyone had similar problems??!! plz help..
Thank you..

Sounds like you're overdriving the sound card input and causing distortion. It could be that the GT-6 output is set too high, but more than likely you're using the wrong sound card input.

I think the GT-6 output is a line level out (-10dBm) so you would connect it to a line level in on your sound card. If this is the way you have it connected try turning down the output of the GT-6.

If you've somehow managed to connect the GT-6 to a microphone input on your sound card then that's where the distortion is coming from, the signal is too hot for a mic input.

thanx phyl...but i've tried all of that..it's not working out....tried all three input signal levels..getting the same result...the sound card input is not distorting, coz i havent got a "too hot" signal coming from gt-6....i would try the digital, but havent got digital inputs on the s'card...thanx anyway man....
