Hey Chance,

I know you are busy, but I have had a fed ex tracking number that has been showing package data transmitted to Fed ex for about two weeks. It orignally had a delivery date of 11/28 but that is now gone.

Any way you could double check and make sure this actually went out?

Thanks,

mm

Is there an issue with the console? I can't logon nor reset the password - it says I don't have account register.... Maybe it's a good thing that I don't need to see the 3 red NOs lol

Yep, the 200. I plugged mine in and talked into it to get a feel for it, and it's pretty nice. Does not require much gain at all like a standard ribbon. It is very well built and comes with a great shockmount.

Charlie

So Chance made an acm200 substitution in your shipment without checking with you?

After the payment period ended and China was building the mic's, something came up with the 300. I do not remember the details, something like a vendor had exclusive rights to the 300 and we could not get it, so Chance announced he would swap all 300 orders for the 200. So to answer your question, we knew about the swap.

Charlie

No, notice about the substitution was provided to everyone long ago.

We knew about the substitution decision he made placing the order, but he also stated we would have a choice of the mic or a refund.

Yup and I presume that if someone wanted a refund they should have let Chance know about it before now.

Sure, but Chance would have to acknowledge those requests, and it's clear a lot of people's emails go unanswered.
Inquiries were made on how that would be handled in the past, and it was left unresolved.

Chill man. If you're getting a 200 that you don't want--don't bother Chance--he's got enough irons in the fire. PM me and I'll buy it from you (shipping included).

Seriously.

You're off base here. The question was valid, citing statements Chance made himself.

There's nothing unreasonable about confirming what is happening.

No, I'm not off base. I didn't say your question wasn't valid. I'm simply asking you to chill--for Chance's sake. He's in a maelstrom of activity, and we benefit. So I'm trying to deflect some heat from him.

And I'm trying to reassure you that one way or another, you won't be left holding the bag on a mic you don't want. My offer was serious: if you get a 200 and you'd have preferred the refund, you'll get a refund--that is if you'll take it from me. And I'll get a 200.

Sure it deviates from the prescribed plan; but the net result is the same.

EDIT: To further clarify my position: It's more than safe to say that Chance isn't trying to swindle anyone by failing to proactively offer the refunds. And given all he's done for us in general and me in particular, I'm more than willing to pitch in and cover his oversight and make sure you're fair and square.

Chance made a pretty big announcement of the issue with the 300 and that the 200 would be substituted instead unless we let him know that we wanted refunds.

We all should have assumed that we needed to let chance know immediately if we wanted the refund instead of the other mic.

We all know how busy Chance is with this whole ordeal and the people who ordered the 300 and didn't want the substitution should have been more actively seeking it as soon as they heard about it.

It sounds to me like you dropped the ball.

WS,

Regardless of how busy "one" may be, when questions are asked (repeatedly) and no answers are ever forthcoming, people could be excused for wondering whether their questions are being deliberately ignored.

I agree with you. And I understand retro1's position. I ordered a 300--and got something other than the expected 200. In fact, I got a mic I already had from last year. So I really can relate.

I'm not asking him or anyone with concerns to pipe down. I'm literally trying to stand between him and Chance and solve his problem for him, so Chance has one less thing to worry about.

I can't speak for Chance regarding the unanswered questions. But in this one instance I can step in and diffuse a little bomb before it goes off. And hey, maybe that'll free up Chance a bit so he's one step closer to answering the other questions that folks have.

Your assumptions are flawed, and showing up at the tail end of a brief civil exchange, to tell me to chill and leave Chance alone, while trying to procure a mic, was inept and aggravating.

Most likely the opposite of your intentions, so we'll leave it at that.
I have no objection to you looking for an acm200, but you'll have to find one another way.

It sounds to me like you dropped the ball.

Clearly that could be deduced from the questions.

If your objective is to get a refund on a mic you don't want, why would you care if the refund came from Chance or someone else?

Just curious, but how many of the 300's did you order??

C'mon people now
