Group Buy Interest?

Received an email from FedEx that the shipment is due next week. Just a heads-up to those still waiting, the user console still shows that it's not been shipped so keep an eye for email as it appears to be more up to date (unless I missed something).

Looking forward to hearing the pre's and finding where their strengths lie.
 
Chance, please check your PMs. I want to make sure that before you pack up my order (if it hasn't been lost in the shipping process again) you know the correct number of ribbons and shockmounts I'm due from the last group buy.

Also wondering what happened with the ACM-300 situation? You said you were going to replace the ACM-300 orders with ACM-200s unless people wanted a refund, but I never heard any further info about how to get that refund.

I received my order but there were no replacement ribbons in there. Are they normally being sent in a separate mailing?

Also, there are instructions in the mic pre manual to send in the warranty card but there is no card.

Been real busy, PM's and E-mail are full. I will be taking everything one step at a time. Right now, full priority is on shipping to get you guys your gear. I just went thru everyone that has been invoiced but not paid for shipping and sent them a reminder E-mail. We're just a little past the half way point now. Lots to do yet.

As for micing I placed each mic about 8 to 12 inches back from the guitar with one mic pointing at the 12th fret area and one at the body past the sound hole.

Just past halfway? I thought we hit that mark a while back. Since you've been shipping for months already it looks like this is going to roll over to next year.

I didn't get any email of any kind. I just kept my eye on the console and now I have my gear. I suggest checking the console, not email.
 
I'll be watching this spot, patiently, for the next group buy... better late than never...

i've asked a couple of times about what the deal was with getting the replacement ribbons, but my questions(along with those of others) seem to have largely gone ignored. i'm going to go out on a limb here and GUESS(and hope) that chance is trying to get out all of the piles of gear he has sitting around that people have paid a decent amount of money for, then turn his attention to getting out the replacement ribbons afterwards...regardless, the issue with ribbons last time around is why i didn't participate this time around, and i probably won't be participating in them in the future if i don't end up with a new ribbon for the ACM-3 that's being sitting here in a completely unusable state for a year now.

now don't get me wrong...i'm cool with waiting until chance gets an opportunity to sort out who needs how many of them and to get them shipped out, and i understand that he's probably completely swamped right now, but it's been frustrating having absolutely no idea what's going on with the replacements. i'm about to just send the thing off to michael joly and have him go to town modding the thing for me and be done with it.
 
I posted just a few posts ago that I am taking things one step at a time so as to get everyones gear out ASAP. After everyones gear is shipped, I will take care of the ribbons and shockmounts
 
Hi Chance. I think you posted over at the PSW forum about the next group buy. Are the mics going to be available this next time around? I didn't get a 1200 and now, with the mods, I'm wishing I had. So will I be able to get a couple of the ACM1200's and will the mod kits still be available?

I'd ask over at PSW but my registration doesn't seem to be going through. Can't post. Thanks.

rock on...like i said, that's what i figured, but it feels better hearing it from you. i guess i should've read back a couple pages, but this thread has become such a monstrosity that i can't be bothered to check through pages and pages of posts, especially when i only check the forum like once a week

*goes back to waiting patiently for new ribbon*
