NO!! There should be columns:

First
Last
Address 1
Address 2
City
State
ZIP/Postcode
Country

Thanks. You no doubt saved me a lot of time.
When you say "columns", is that the vertical, or horizontal columns?

Oh, I just re-read your post and I see it is the vertical.
How do they distinguish between the last column for one order to the first column of the next?

unless you are talking about a "horizontal column and knee milling machine"

The columns start over for the next order. Here's an example. This data is in separate columns, separated for your viewing pleasure with the symbol "|":

|SMITH |JOHN |123 MAIN ST. |NEW YORK |NY |10019
|JONES |FRED |186 HIGH ST. |NEW SALEM |GA |21678
|PUTZEY|JIMMY|4TH & MAIN |E. BRIGHTON|AL |56145

I believe the FedEx software doesn't require literal column names, as long as you tell it which column means what during the import process.

So across (horizontaly) in each little cell I would put their name, address, city, state, E-dress, phone number each item in its own cell right?

I have not worked with the fedex website but i would think so. That is standard csv format.

Wow, I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me. If I have to do it that way, I may as well just input it all in my address book my self.

Chance what you might be able to do is export it directly from the database. I would think it would be running mysql as the databse server. The only problem would be if we dont have access to the server that it's all hosted on. If you need help I would help out as much as I can to get the information from the db to a viable format.

The problem I am having is the CSV file that Randy created only contains names and E-dresses. no shipping addresses. To get the shipping addresses, I had to go individually to each order and make a list

Chance, I think you need to try to get Randy back involved in this. I know he's "out of pocket" at present. But this could amount to many hours of work for you, while he could probably generate the needed CSV file directly from the database in an hour or so.

Randy has a lot on his plate at the present time. He already has done so much that I am indebted to him for. When we last spoke, he said when he gets home from work he goes straight to sleep.
He is commuting from SC to Georgia every day. Once his family/medical situation improves, he'll be back.

That sounds painfully time consuming. Sorry to hear Randy has issues.

I don't know what kind of timeline that involves, but it may be worth it to wait for him. Even if you type in everything manually, there will be errors. Guaranteed. I deal with just this sort of thing every day.

If he's already got a CSV export built, but it's in the wrong format, it shouldn't take more than ten minutes to change it and get a new file.

You know your situation better than any of us do, just please keep those thoughts in mind.

Yes, he has the CSV built in, but the shipping info is not there.
As for time, it's too close. The ships arrive here in less than 2 weeks. They're already on their way. I have to do what I can now.

No one has really said what has happened with Randy... and it's really none of our business. My thoughts and prayers have and do go out to him for what ever the situation might be.

Something I don't understand though... I've been in a situation where I woke up in the hospital and stayed there for a while, my "Life" was put on hold... lucky to have one actually. For a brief period of time not even able to make a phone call. So I do know what that is all about.

From what I can tell from the posts here... Randy is in a Difficult situation. Yet at this time he's a functioning person driving himself to and from work... also meaning he's able to work. He voluntarily got involved in a Business deal (the GB) that involves 900 or so people w/, I think I read, close to $250,000 dollars. He got so involved that without his presence it hinders the GB. He set up and ran probably the largest portion of the GB, a Secure web site, Registration, Product orders and took all of our Personal and Credit Card information... that it seems no one else can take over.

Randy not being able to take 10 minutes or even up to a couple hours to get some of this straightened out because he needs to get some sleep just does not seem right. Driving from "SC to Georgia every day" I'm not sure how long that takes but I'm sure he has a Cell Phone in which in that amount of time he could answer a few questions and possibly walk you (Chance) through the steps of what needs to get done.

Everyone handles stress differently. With out too much speculation of what is taking place in his life right now... If he is a able body person this is not a situation where you just drop your involvement.

I'm sure some here will think I'm being harsh or not understanding. I'm a very understanding person and when you equate $250k and all that is taking place here in The Home Stretch of the GB with some Lost Sleep... or extra stress...

And Chance I know your "indebted to him" ... but did you ask for his involvement? I could see if he said I can't pack boxes with you next week like I thought I could... He's been a major part of this GB and if I'm not mistaken Asked for donations through PayPal for his involvement.

again, not knowing at all what randy's situation is and thus quite possibly wrong about this, if he could even give chance some basic info on how to gain access to the server, it seems there are knowledgable people here who could sort of pick up where randy left off. now i don't know a lot about this whole registration server thing (i know some basic html, thats it...), but it seems to me that since we typed our information into individual fields when entering our shipping addresses, then there must be some way of exporting that information from the database/server/whatever in a format that fedex could take. something like this could range from being as easy as pressing "export as..." and waiting, to having to manually export via some sort of command line mumbo jumbo. in any event, any way you'd do that would certainly take WAAAAYYYYYYYYY less time than doing what chance is preparing himself to do. so, without prying into randy's affairs, chance do you think it'd be possible to get the info necessary to access the server's contents and have someone like hotrodder kick out an appropriate csv file for you?

I have everyones information, but it has to be entered into my address books (Fedups and USEX) I think rather than copy/paste to Excel, I may as well just copy/paste each piece of info right into my Fed Ex address book. Thats where it is supposed to end up anyway. Sort of like "Direct to disc" It will take some time, but inch by inch it's a cinch.
Anyone know what country "NLD" is? City is EINDHOVEN. (first one on the list and already a problem) It can only get easier/faster as I progress
