The specs for the 81 and 84 are coming soon. This is a new product for them and the specs have to be run and recorded in their lab. If you all notice I took all your questions and had them detail EVERYTHING in the specs. I'm doing some remote recording in June and would LOVE to have them for the gig.

I'm ready for you to start taking orders at any time... hopefully before I spend all my money on something else. :D

Just remember how long the mics took last year. June, even right now may not be realistic.
 
specs look pretty good to me. Distortion looks kinda high but I honestly don't think it will be audible to most and certainly much lower with normal gain ranges.
Then again, the "color" is distortion for the most part.

Overall, I'm impressed. Seeing specs plus the listening review from Chance and his colleagues gives me a better idea of what's being offered here - another good deal!

These pres can have both transformers upgraded with different Edcor models for less than $30 too if the Chinese made transformers sound bad.

That's really good news - the Edcor folks are great to deal with, and [inside the US, at least], shipping is cheap and fast.
 
I just sent out a "test mass E-mail" (including one to myself) I recieved mine, but I got a message that on quite a few, the delivery failed. I used the E-dress that you all provided.

I don't know how you can handle this without it being a huge PITA for you, unless you publish the failed addresses in these threads on the forums. Even if you have those who didn't get the test email re-submit their addresses, you can't be sure that everyone has read the notification in the thread.

Maybe someone will have an idea.

BTW, I got the test. :)

It's a bit of a dilemma... Posting the addresses on a forum would leave them VERY vulnerable to incessant spam.

Sorting them would be a ridiculous task.

PITA indeed.

Please post the list however you can, that way, I'll know whether you even got my original email for wanting 4 of the one with DI.

As long as you sent me an E-mail (not a PM), and put "TnC GEAR" in the subject header, I should have gotten it. A lot of people have joined us in the last couple of days. Perhaps "GS"? I haven't checked but I read somewhere that they (GS) locked the thread. Is that true?? I know that in the past there have been Group buys at GS.
 
yeah they locked the thread. dunno why. the one on tomb is still open. both have gotten a number of views though.
some people's email filters may have filtered out your email as spam because it's a mass mailing.
 
My rep from China just sent me an E-mail and said "the specs for the 81 & 84 are finished and the engineering dept. will send on Monday"
On another note, anyone know the size of the CK-12 capsule? For the last 5 years I have been working on a 414 type of mic. I am looking for a cheap capsule to use just so I can finish the electronics end of it.
