We tried out the Tube ribbon, and the FET phantom powered ribbons and were blown away. It was suggested to me by some hi-level engineers, to market these mics (for profit) because they are up there. At the request of the manufacturer, I removed the prices from my web site. HOWEVER I will still honor the reduced cost to the two forums I am involved with. I need for all interested gear-junkies on these forums, to E-mail me with "TnC GEAR" in the subject header. I can then send private quotes as a mass mailing this will save a lot of time as you all will be in a seperate mail folder. I am getting all the specs together and should be available soon. The NEW mics and outboard gear is a bit higher end and will cost A LITTLE more but still very affordable (notice I said a LITTLE more) I have a ton of interest in the ACM-3 and they will ship with an extra ribbon.

Any 6802 info yet?
Don't have a T3 either. The 6802 sounds good. There are a few other tube LDs in the studio but we have not yet done direct comparisons... the 6802 kind of went right to work. Some day, we'll throw it up next to the modded Apex 460, the NTK, and the Okatava LD tube condensers. But the bottom line for us is that it was immediately usable and sounded really good, so we started using it.

email sent-- thanks again very much for all of your efforts on our behalf chance.

I think I'm missing something!

What is PSW and where were the pics/prices for the tube ribbon?

Thanks again for any input on the 6802 vs T3.

Hi Guys,

I finally got some mic eval sound bytes up on my website. Unfortunately, my friend only sent me mp3 files, so that's all there is for now. I am asking him so send me wav files to I can post them so you can hear the "uncompressed" sound of the mics. In addition to the group buy mics, I used some DIY mics I made and a couple of mics from Mshilarious/Naiant.

My friend recorded while I played a simple chord progression on his tenor ukulele.

You can check them out here

and here's the picture of the drum mic set prototype:

PSW is prosoundweb.com - I don't go there, because I'm not a pro :o

the pictures of the tube ribbon are below in post 2232 (and '2232' was my whole phone number as I grew up in a small town in the Texas panhandle - what a coincidence!). I don't think we're seeing prices yet.

Email sent. Thanks again for doing all this, we should all go in on one of those big cookie cakes from the mall for Chance.

when making the drum mics, I was lookig for something complete. In other words all the clamps included for snare and toms. They're OK, but they would have to go for around $140.00, and something like this could be purchased locally for the same cost.

Maybe if we're lucky, when Harvey gets back he might post those great/useful clips of some of the other TnC mics

Email sent too.

I'll try and post some clips of the flugel horn recorded yesteray with the ACM-3.
