Someone in NY who has knowledge in this field should be receiving his tomorrow.
I already sent him detailed schematics.

Insanely Good???

For those of you waiting on Pre's, I just got off the phone with a guitarist buddy of mine that I bought a ACMP73 for. He had told me a week ago that he liked the pre, but he called me back this AM telling me that the pre was - in his words - INSANELY GOOD for the $$$. Thought you guys would like to hear that. I still have yet to really put mine thru the paces, but hopefully I'll have a drum session this week. My buddy is in the midst of doing an album with a singer and last night they used the 73, and now the singer wants to re-do all his vocals! lol He is also getting a lot more "detail" (again, his words) out of his cheaper microphones. He was going to get a Neumann, but now doesn't feel the need. The pre is DOING it for him. He made me feel like a hero for buying it for him. Just thought I'd pass it on!

I'm liking the sounds of this, Doc. Thanks for posting. (yeah, I ordered a 73 and I'm still waiting.....)

:D

Yes, I can't wait either. I got a pair of '73s coming to use on keyboards and vocals. I'm getting more stoked by the day.:D:D:D

Good to hear, DrBill! I've got a '73 on the way... well, I will have once I get an invoice!

.....tap, tap, tap......(the sound of drumming fingers)

I'll take a count tomorrow. I'm real busy processing payments and invoicing for new payments

We're just under 25% shipped. Yesterday I invoiced around 30 orders. These orders are ready to ship once payment is made. There is still a lot of orders ready to ship that have been invoiced over 2 weeks ago but have not received payment. These orders are taking up space and are really slowing things down for the rest.

Didn't you say you were going to move the slow responders to the back of the line? I've been feeding quarters into my computer for weeks now in anticipation of getting my shipping invoice. It can't play cds anymore but it's ready to pay out as soon as my number is called.

That's true but I had to rent a storage unit and it takes time to shuttle things back and forth. I only rented it for a month. The people who are doing the pack/ship are very efficient and fast. They will have all the information for me ready to ship and we are waiting on payment. If everyone would have paid for their shipping, we would be more than 1/3 through this.

Perhaps if we kidnapped one of their loved ones.... just a thought. ;)
patience, grasshoppa... I aged well beyond my years while waiting for my shipping invoice during the last GB, and attained discipline, truth, and incontinence. The red NO's strengthen, and loosen.

But just brainstorming: I know it was impossible to accurately predict shipping costs at the time of the order, but maybe next time (unless everything changes next time), we could have a "shipping fee" paid up front that would be high enough to probably cover shipping expenses. The understanding would be that TnC would keep all the shipping fee in any event (that is: no refunds if it exceeds the shipping cost), but could, if necessary on a case-by-case basis, reach out for additional funds at the time of shipping. Then, if the amount was equal or greater than the shipping in most or all cases, so much the better.

edit: and last time, we didn't have the console, so there was no way to truly know that *you* weren't one of the people Chance was talking about who wasn't paying the shipping invoice and holding things up. I couldn't stop looking for the invoice email (even though it turned out I had indeed not yet received it until what might have been the last distribution) and degenerated into the state of Gene Hackman's character at the end of "The Conversation"

To add insult to injury, I just had a pkg to Austrailia returned to me. Their reason was "too large" I hate USPS!! When I printed and filled out the shipping label and customs forms. I entered all of the dimensions and weight and it was accepted. At least with Fed Ex, they will reject if something is not right. As if I don't have better things to do, I called USPS about this and they said I must add the height plus the width, multiply by 2 and add the length. It must equate under 79 inches. I already paid the $200.00 + fee and hope they refund/credit toward 2 box shipping (which will probably be more $). These overseas orders are extreemely time consuming.

It shows my shipping invoice has been paied but the Items Shipped is still NO. I paied the invoice last Wednesday or Thursday.

Will this be changed to "Yes" once the items have shipped?

More then anything I want to make sure the order is not waiting in limbo.

2 box shipping (which will probably be more $).
Isn't it at that point faster/cheaper to just FedEx that order (and similar large ones that may still be in the pipeline)? That way you/your guys don't have to repack anything, and I suspect that one large box FedExed comes out quite a bit cheaper than multiple USPS shipments.

JDB.
[and I'm sorry the int'l stuff is taking so much of your time; it's much appreciated!]

LOL Thanks for a good laugh this morning as I wait for the red NO's to change into something else like maybe......Yes, we have a winner!...or at least "Pay this amount and get goodies!"
