My PM boxes are full. As far as colour goes, is there an organized way we could see what the majority would prefer? That would be fine with me.

If you have any questions, post them here and we'll answer them.

Randy - THANKS. Registered, up and running, ordered. Now.....to do a little more research on the 126 pages to see if I want to order more.
Best,
bp
PS - will there be the availability for local pickup in LA after the units arrive?
If we knew what the color options were, we could set up a poll here on the board and have people vote... That seems organized enough...
My bad then. I thought I had read earlier that they were identical. I also thought you and your buddy did the designs yourselves.I don't know this for a fact. I only know that the 3 pres are modeled after the ORIGINAL 73, 81, and 84
I know I originally created more color comps than we are now considering, but here's a visual reference point I did for us a while back:

If we get a definitive answer on what the ooptions are, I'll remove the extras to avoid confusion, then we could set up a poll and reference the pics.
Honestly, I'm really liking the bright orange and purple colors for the preamp from the link above

Anyone know if I decide to get a 73 and an 81 and use one for the right overhead and one for the left overhead of a drum kit with both eqs the same (or bypassed) if it will sound differently? I need to know this, otherwise I'm going to have a very strange sounding drum kit![]()
And regarding colors:
WE WENT THROUGH THIS BEFORE.
They are white. Let's not introduce needless complication at this point.
PLEASE!
Eric
i agree with emerrill, we should just leave it white so we can move forward with the buy.
Ugh! Can we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE limit the choices to the high contrast/easy to read variations. Otherwise, we're liable to wind up with something like this...
14% Bright Orange
6% Rust Orange
13% White w/red
13% White w/black
12% Blue
8% Green
10% Red
10% Teal
11% Purple
3% Pink
In that scenario, 26% want white with either black or red lettering, but we all wind up with cheesy orange. If we're gonna vote, the choices should be limited or it's gotta be some kind of elimination thing so we don't wind up with something unreadable.
OR WE COULD JUST LET CHANCE PICK IT!!!
+5 to Chance choosing the color. My wife'll tell you I can't be trusted even to choose what color clothes I'm wearing.
